TestSzobrász® – Founder and Lead Professional of Structural Integration
Professionalism and personal attention are important to me.
I consider the creation and continuous development of the TestSzobrász® treatments and the TestSzobrász® training programme, the Hungarian adaptation of Structural Integration, the most valuable part of my two decades of professional experience. Professionalism and personal attention are both essential to me; when these are in proper balance, they result in a truly personalised treatment and development plan. I learned about being a professional in the United States, while the need for personal attention has always been an integral part of my approach.
Dental treatments maintain only one aspect of our health, yet their beneficial effects extend not only to the rest of the body but also to our overall well-being and the emotional sphere. Dr Iván Szilágyi recognised this complex interconnection, which is why he invited me to join his team.
Patients seek solutions to their current conditions, and I am able to facilitate change through understanding the structural component of the body, and particularly posture. The foundation of this work lies in my experience in massage therapy, my comprehensive knowledge of the (Eastern) Thai energetic system, a holistic interpretation of the fascial system and fascial anatomy, and development work organised around principles of movement science (TestNevelés).
As a TestSzobrász®, my role is to guide patients – who also take a holistic view of their health – towards a flexible, youthful body capable of development, beyond the aesthetics of teeth, the mouth, and the smile.
The mouth, as the gateway to eating and digestion and, through the jaw, as part of the skeletal system, is connected to the rest of the body in countless ways. Its position and function depend on the rest of the body, particularly overall posture.
Alongside dental treatments, it is therefore worthwhile to take a look at the body as a whole, especially if there are any temporomandibular joint issues or other musculoskeletal symptoms. During a consultation combined with TestOlvasás [Body Reading], I provide a realistic picture of the body’s internal structure and prepare a treatment plan based on the results of a postural assessment.
This may take the form of a shorter series of three sessions focusing on the main postural patterns; a longer twelve-session series that examines postural patterns in detail and leads towards an integrated body; or individual sessions offered as an introductory opportunity to experience the effects of structural manual work.
Patients typically report a sense of lightness, looseness, and an overall improvement in how their body feels and functions. For this reason, the motto of TestSzobrász® treatments is: “Feel good in your own skin.”
Common postural patterns that I also encounter in dental practice, and which significantly influence jaw position, include:
- forward head posture,
- a narrow chest and rib cage,
- rounded or forward-rolled shoulders,
- the weight and downward pull of the internal organ system,
- tilting and rotation of the pelvis,
- and the natural curves of the spine.
TestSzobrász® treatments can support dental interventions and are particularly beneficial during orthodontic treatment and dental prosthetic work.
At the recommendation of Dr Iván Szilágyi, I offer patients a holistic, quality-of-life-enhancing solution and lead our body-awareness development team in this spirit.
