Oral surgery

In Dr. Iván Szilágyi’s office, interventions are not a series of independent surgeries, but a complex diagnostic and treatment procedure where the goal, in addition to function and aesthetics, is to raise quality of life to a new level.

At Dr. Iván Szilágyi’s Aesthetic Dentistry, the patient’s overall health condition is considered. Rehabilitation is not seen as an isolated dentistry event, but as a biological and functional process: even in the planning phase of treatments performed by the oral surgeon, the gums, bone, implant and masticatory system are interpreted as a unit.

The basis of implant and oral surgery treatments is always precise diagnostics and digital planning, and a medical approach that not only knows minimally invasive techniques but also ensures the least amount of trauma to the body by applying them in all circumstances.

The close cooperation between our specialists and dental technicians is intertwined during the design processes. Many people have a nightmare of having to leave without teeth – however, at Dr Iván Szilágyi’s office, you can receive your temporary dentures within 5 hours after implant or oral surgery procedures!

In Dr. Iván Szilágyi’s office, implantation is always preceded by a clinical and radiological examination to check suitability for the procedure as well as the bone and soft tissue supply. The purpose of implants, from single dentures to partial or complete dentures, is to restore chewing ability. The cornerstone of a successful intervention is precise planning and the involvement of the right professionals. Surgeries can be performed painlessly and under local anesthesia. For those for whom local anesthesia is not an option, an experienced team of anesthesiologists is available.

Digital Implant Planning (DTX Studio)

The use of navigated implant surgical systems is particularly effective when treating extensive tooth loss or when placing multiple implants simultaneously, as it improves the spatial accuracy of the intervention. Thanks to the procedure, bone replacement surgeries can be avoided in many cases. Another advantage is faster surgical performance, and, according to patients, there are typically fewer complaints after the procedure, even with a larger number of implants.

PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) – supporting faster, better healing

For the purpose of regeneration processes, we use the so-called PRF technique, where a membrane is produced from the patient’s venous blood, which significantly enhances tissue regeneration and results in a faster healing process.

All-on-4 / All-on-6 – a complex solution for complete tooth loss

In the case of complete tooth loss and full-arch rehabilitation, the All-on-4 / All-on-6 concept offers a complex oral surgical and prosthetic solution that can provide functional and aesthetic rehabilitation of an entire set of teeth with just a few implants.

Surgical removal of wisdom teeth

A common, yet underestimated area of oral surgery is the surgical removal of wisdom teeth. With professional execution, the risk of later complications can be significantly reduced, especially with teeth in difficult positions.

Gingivoplasty – not just aesthetics, but protection

Soft tissue health is a fundamental condition for the long-term preservation of teeth and implants. The goal of gingivoplasty procedures is not only to improve aesthetics, but also to restore natural gum protection.

Periodontal disease treatment – lasting results only on stable foundations

Oral surgery and periodontology are closely intertwined: without treating periodontal disease, lasting surgical results cannot be achieved.

When is it worth consulting an oral surgeon?

  • in case of implantation or when preparing for it
  • if bone grafting may be necessary
  • in case of complete tooth loss (All-on-4 / All-on-6)
  • in case of impacted wisdom teeth
  • in case of gum and soft tissue problems (gum protection, gum contour)
  • in case of planned surgical intervention due to periodontal disease
