The hybrid method (known as Combination Technology in North America) uses fixed braces to treat the sections that would be more difficult to treat with an invisible aligner, or would require longer treatment time (rotations, expansion, smile line), which in most cases means 6 to 8 months. We then switch to invisible braces, which are much more comfortable and pleasant to wear. Overall, the hybrid treatment takes 10-16 months.
Invisible braces are removable, aesthetic yet discreet aligners. There are many manufacturers and brands on the market. In our practice, we use the Angel Aligner.
