For aesthetic restorative procedures that involve the fabrication of a permanent crown or shell, the fabrication of a temporary prosthesis is essential. Tooth and smile restoration is usually required due to tooth decay, irregular tooth structure or bite irregularities, or tooth loss after tooth extraction.
PMMA (poly-methyl methacrylate) crowns and bridges are temporary replacements for longer healing times. PMMA prosthetics are fabricated by a CAD/CAM system equipped dental technician lab that Dr. Iván Szilágyi has been working with for 17 years. The resulting temporary restoration provides the perfect basis for a later permanent restoration, thanks to its excellent accuracy and high aesthetic qualities. It can also be fine-tuned during its lifespan. It prevents gingivitis and decay, and immediately after its removal, an accurate print can be taken for permanent restorations.
- The material has high flexural strength and is metal-free.
- It allows for a longer lifespan, as the polymer material is much more resistant than traditional temporary materials.
- Significantly harder than conventional methacrylic acid methyl ester (acrylate).
- Temporary prosthetics can be repeatedly removed from the prepared stumps (they are fixed with temporary glue).
- They are attached to the implants with a screw (detachable connection).
- Temporary dentures do not discolour, do not wear, and are perfectly polishable.
- Homogeneous material structure due to industrial production, no gingival or pulp irritation, as there are no free monomers.
Maryland bridge
The main advantage of a Maryland bridge over conventional bridges is that it requires minimal reshaping of the adjacent teeth, thus making it a truly conservative approach.
Innovative, invisible fixture
The replacement tooth is fixed by attaching very thin and aesthetic-looking wings to the inner, invisible side of the adjacent teeth, retaining natural appearance,
Maximum care for the dental material
The greatest advantage of the Maryland bridge is that the supporting teeth do not need grinding or crowning. Our state-of-the-art gluing technology enables us to use minimal surface roughing or, in ideal cases, turn to a no-prep procedure, entirely without polishing. This solution preserves the natural dental material as much as possible, while the result is stable and aesthetically pleasing.
If necessary, the temporary prosthesis can be recreated at any time on the basis of the stored computer data. The stored computer data can also be used to create the final prosthesis.
